BEVAC is a Recombinant Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) I.P., specifically formulated for adults. Each dose is 1 mL and contains recombinant HBs antigen produced in Pichia pastoris (Yeast).
Uses: BEVAC is used to prevent Hepatitis B infection, a serious liver disease, in susceptible individuals.
Dose & Schedule: The standard adult vaccination schedule typically involves three doses:
First dose: On a chosen date.
Second dose: One month after the first dose.
Third dose: Six months after the first dose. Your doctor will determine the appropriate schedule based on your individual risk factors and health status.
Side Effects: Common side effects are generally mild and temporary, including soreness, redness, or swelling at the injection site, headache, and fatigue. Serious side effects are rare.
Contraindications: BEVAC should not be administered to individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine, including yeast. Discuss any allergies or previous vaccine reactions with your doctor.
