Hexasiil PFS is a hexavalent combination vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., designed for the active immunization of infants (≥ 6 weeks of age). It offers protection against six dangerous diseases—diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whole-cell), hepatitis B (rDNA), inactivated poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)—in a single 0.5 ml pre-filled syringe. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly, typically into the upper thigh, following a three-dose primary series at 6, 10, and 14 weeks, with a booster recommended at 12–24 months

Each dose contains standardized quantities of antigens—Tetanus and Diphtheria toxoids, whole-cell Pertussis, Hepatitis B surface antigen, inactivated poliovirus types 1–3, and Hib PRP conjugated to tetanus toxoid—suspended in an adsorbed formulation. It should be shaken before use to homogenize the suspension. This vaccine simplifies childhood immunizations by reducing the number of separate shots, while maintaining high seroprotection rates across all six antigens.
